Mickey Skinner Memorial Trophy Clash Rescheduled

Mickey Skinner Memorial Trophy Clash Rescheduled

Liam Ryder8 Jun - 12:30

Whitby Town can confirm that this summer's Mickey Skinner Memorial Trophy fixture against Guisborough Town has been rescheduled.

This comes following a cancellation from the Priorymen which we have been alerted to.

The annual contest will now take place at the Towbar Express Stadium on Saturday 1 August 2026, with kick-off at 3pm.

The fixture had originally been due to be played a week earlier in pre-season at Guisborough's King George V Ground, but both clubs have worked together to agree a new date following the change to Guisborough Town's schedule.

The Mickey Skinner Memorial Trophy has become a popular annual fixture between the two clubs, with recent meetings producing plenty of competitive action despite their pre-season status.

Whitby Town lifted the trophy with a 2-1 victory at Guisborough in 2024, while the Priorymen claimed a 3-0 win in last summer's encounter.

Supporters will now have the opportunity to see the Seasiders in action on home soil for one final time in pre-season as preparations continue ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Further details, including admission prices and any additional matchday information, will be announced in due course.

We look forward to welcoming Guisborough Town and both sets of supporters to the Towbar Express Stadium on Saturday 1 August.
