After careful consideration and in response to valuable feedback from our supporters, the club has decided to team up with Close Protection Security Ltd, an esteemed industry-leading security company based in the North East.
Established in 2017 by Glenn Bartlett, Close Protection Security has earned a reputation for excellence by working closely with both the public and private sectors. As expert suppliers to a wide range of industries, their commitment to providing first class security solutions has been recognised across the region, and nationally as the company recently increased their security service offering to Sky Sports in partnership with SAUK.
Close Protection Security's track record is further highlighted by their security and stewarding services provided to clubs like Middlesbrough FC, Darlington, Stockton Town, Redcar Athletic and Marske United on matchdays, as well as assisting England and Scotland national teams whilst they are in the North East. As part of this new partnership, they will extend their expertise to ensure the safety and well-being of our fans at the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground.
Speaking about the link-up, Dwayne Hill of Close Protection Security said, "Close Protection Security are delighted to have partnered with Whitby Town Football Club adding a new local team to our portfolio of sporting Clients. Listening to some of the issues Whitby Town have experienced we are focused to improve and maintain a safe, friendly environment to all who visit the grounds”.
Whitby Town Football Club would like to express its gratitude to Steve Wiggins and his team at Events & Management Solutions for their hard work during their time with the club.
The club is enthusiastic about this new security partnership and looks forward to a successful 2023/24 season.
