Biography
Jonathan started his football journey at Stockton Town when the club was still known as Hartburn Juniors before moving into Middlesbrough’s Academy at the age of 11. He also represented England at international level from U15’s all the way through to U20s. ‘Franksy’ started his career as a professional footballer straight from school at Boro and he has since played for Hartlepool United, Oxford United, Yeovil Town and Wrexham, as well as at Ross County in the Scottish Premiership where he won the Scottish League Cup in 2016. For two seasons, he played in Iceland with IBV Vestmannaeyja and featured in the Europa League for them. Following the resignation of Lee Bullock in September 2022, Franks moved into an Assistant/Manager player role.
