A fantastic £2,297 has already been raised ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 1926 Club, which was relaunched to help strengthen the club’s playing budget, has received excellent backing from supporters, local businesses and members of the wider community since its return.
A significant contribution came from Club Chairman Ivor Homer, who generously donated £1,000 to the fund. The club has also received a £30 donation from a Middlesbrough pub, whose owners have politely asked to remain anonymous.
The recent Centenary Dinner proved to be another major boost to the initiative, generating an impressive £1,232 for the fund through the support and generosity of those in attendance.
In addition, The Bridge Inn, Ruswarp, has made a £20 contribution towards the campaign, further demonstrating the valued support the football club continues to receive from local businesses and supporters alike.
The current total of £2,297 represents a strong start for the fund and highlights the commitment of the Whitby community as the club prepares for another competitive Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division campaign.
Every contribution to the 1926 Club goes directly towards supporting the playing budget, helping the management team strengthen the squad throughout the season and providing additional resources when required.
Everyone at Whitby Town would like to thank all those who have contributed so far. Your support makes a genuine difference and plays an important role in helping the club continue to compete both on and off the pitch.
