Whitby Town is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Bar Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of Turnbull’s Bar.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring supporters, visitors and club members enjoy a welcoming and professionally managed bar experience on matchdays and throughout club events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the daily operation of Turnbull’s Bar and coordinating bar staff and volunteers
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required
  • Working closely with the club’s commercial team on pricing and promotions
  • Building positive relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing
  • Ensuring all bar equipment is maintained and cleaning standards are consistently high
  • Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
  • Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed at all times

About You

  • Previous experience in bar, hospitality or venue management is preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to customer service
  • Personal Licence preferred, but not essential
