Battle of Britain Memorial Trophy Returns to the Towbar Express Stadium

Liam Ryder24 Jun - 14:00

Whitby Town supporters will have their first opportunity to return to the Towbar Express Stadium this summer.

This comes when a Seasiders' XI host RAF Fylingdales in the return of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trophy on Saturday 11 July.

Kick-off is at 1pm, with a Whitby Town XI taking on the local Armed Forces side in a fixture that has become a popular date in the pre-season calendar and an important occasion for both organisations in previous years.

Admission prices have been set at £5 for everyone over 16 and £3 for under-16s. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, gate receipts will be shared equally between Whitby Town Football Club and the RAF Benevolent Fund, helping to support the vital work carried out by the charity on behalf of serving and former members of the Royal Air Force and their families.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Trophy continues to celebrate the close links between Whitby Town and RAF Fylingdales.

Supporters are encouraged to come along, support a worthy cause and help create a strong atmosphere for the first fixture at the Towbar Express Stadium following the summer break.
