Supported by the Whitby Town FC Community Trust, students are currently taking part in their four-week sustainable development expedition in Cambodia.
Following the Trust's recent donation towards the project, staff at Whitby School have kindly sent through a selection of photographs showing the students already making the most of this incredible opportunity.
The images highlight the group's early experiences in Cambodia, where they are working alongside local communities on a range of sustainable development projects while also immersing themselves in the country's culture and way of life.
Among the photographs is a familiar sight for Seasiders supporters, with a Whitby Town shirt proudly making the journey to South East Asia and continuing to represent the club thousands of miles from home.
The expedition was made possible thanks to the determination and fundraising efforts of the students, staff and supporters, alongside contributions from organisations including the Whitby Town FC Community Trust. The Trust's £750 donation was its first community investment following its launch earlier this summer and helped ensure the trip could go ahead after additional travel costs threatened the project.
Everyone at Whitby Town wishes the students and staff a fantastic remainder of their expedition and looks forward to hearing more about their experiences when they return home.
We would like to thank Whitby School, and in particular Clementine Bentley, for sharing these photographs with us.
Supporters can also follow the group's journey through the dedicated Instagram account, @whitbytocambodia, where regular updates and photographs are being posted throughout the expedition.
