Last season
Despite stuttering at the back end of the season in the Northern Premier League Division One East, Emley’s promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division was confirmed after a play-off final win on penalties over Bradford (Park Avenue).
Nothing separated the two sides over 120 minutes of football, playing out a 0-0 draw. In the resulting penalty shootout, local lad Joe Clegg fired home the winning spot-kick to ensure a first-ever season at Step Three of the National League System for Emley.
In the dugout
Long-serving Richard Tracey occupies the manager's spot at Emley, having been with the club since 2019.
An experienced former striker across the lower reaches of the Football League and non-league, Tracey has overseen the club's rise from Step Five of the National League System to the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Where do they play?
The Pewitts play at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground in Emley, having played there since their formation in 2005.
Have we met before?
Formed in 2005, the Seasiders haven't faced this iteration of Emley yet. They have, however, formally taken back the history of the club that became Wakefield & Emley in 2002, after relocation.
The Seasiders did come up against the original Emley club - formed in 1903 - in the Northern Premier League Premier Division between 1998 and 2006.
The Blues faced Emley - or Wakefield and Emley - on 17 occasions. The Seasiders ran out winners on eight occasions during that spell.
