Crossbar Challenge UK returns to the Towbar Express Stadium for our Bank Holiday Monday fixture against Alfreton Town.
Following the successful launch of the partnership ahead of the 2026/27 season, the popular half-time competition continues to add another layer of excitement to matchdays, giving one lucky supporter the opportunity to test their nerve and accuracy in front of the Seasiders faithful.
Crossbar Challenge UK has partnered with Whitby Town throughout the season to enhance the matchday experience while also generating valuable additional revenue for the football club.
The concept is simple. For just £3 per entry, supporters can enter the draw before kick-off, with unlimited entries available. One winner will be selected 15 minutes into the match and notified by text message. That lucky participant will then take centre stage at half-time with three attempts from the penalty spot to strike the crossbar.
If the crossbar is hit, the winner will take home 50% of the day's prize pot, with prizes guaranteed to be at least £100 and potentially reaching higher depending on entries. Every entry also includes free entry into the season-long £10,000 From Halfway draw, giving supporters another chance to land a life-changing prize later in the campaign.
As well as providing a memorable moment for fans, the initiative directly benefits Whitby Town, with proceeds helping to support the club both on and off the pitch. It's another way for supporters to get involved, enjoy the matchday atmosphere and contribute to the future of the Seasiders.
Whether you back yourself to ping the bar with your first attempt or simply fancy the chance to walk away with a cash prize, there's no better time to get involved than on Bank Holiday Monday.
How to enter:
Children are welcome to take part in the Crossbar Challenge, provided the entry is purchased by a person aged 18 or over, who must also accompany the child when taking their kicks at half-time.
Supporters can enter now via Crossbar Challenge UK directly.
