Whitby Town can confirm that captain Dan Rowe has signed a new contract with the club.

The 25-year-old signed from Frickley Athletic in 2019 and he was an instant hit with Blues fans, scoring his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Grantham Town in February that year.

His dedication to the club since his arrival has seen him earn great respect from the management, officials, and supporters, and he subsequently gained the role of team captain last summer.

Rowe's new deal is just the start of what we hope can be an exciting year for the Blues and we aim to bring more news on squad developments in the coming weeks.
