The 17-year-old forward joined the Seasiders in early January and has made nine appearances during his time at the Towbar Express Stadium. Farrar has primarily featured off the substitutes' bench.
Following Farrar's departure, Lee Bullock made the following comments: "Ben is a brilliant lad with a great attitude, but they wanted him to play more football.
"It's a slight blow as he hasn't had a great deal of time with us but we would never stand in his way.
"When I was offered this job and came in, I was asked to reduce the wage bill by £1,000 a week, but also make sure the club stay up and don't get relegated.
"The wage bill is now nearer a manageable level and the squad is still more than good enough as it's proved in the last few games."
Everyone at Whitby Town Football Club would like to express our gratitude to Ben for all of his efforts during his short stay with us and wish the young striker every success upon his return to York City.
