Supporters, local organisations, volunteers and visitors came together to make the event another great success.
We are delighted to announce that a total of £5,976 was raised during the day, benefiting both Whitby Town Football Club and a range of local charities and sports clubs.
The final figures show:
While the weather may not have been on our side, it certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who attended. From the opening of the gates to the final stalls packing away, the support shown by the local community was outstanding.
Events such as Gala Day simply would not be possible without the dedication of so many people. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, donated, purchased from stalls, volunteered their time, sponsored activities, and helped organise the day behind the scenes.
A huge thank you must go to event organiser Owen Cox, whose hard work, dedication and countless hours of planning helped make Gala Day 2026 such a success. We would also like to recognise the fantastic team of volunteers who gave up their time before, during and after the event. Their commitment, enthusiasm and support were instrumental in making the day possible and ensuring it ran smoothly despite the challenging weather conditions.
A special thank you also goes to the local charities and sports clubs who joined us and helped create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the event. It was wonderful to see so many community groups represented and benefiting directly from the day’s fundraising efforts.
The success of Gala Day is a reminder that, regardless of the weather, the Whitby community continues to rally behind its football club and local causes. Your support makes a genuine difference and helps ensure that both the club and community organisations can continue their valuable work throughout the year.
On behalf of everyone at Whitby Town, thank you for your incredible support.
