Jason Kennedy Departs as Whitby Town Joint-Manager Following 2025/26 Season

Liam Ryder29 Apr - 07:00

Whitby Town Football Club can confirm that Jason Kennedy has departed his position as Joint-Manager following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Jason joined the Seasiders in October 2024 as Assistant Manager under Gary Liddle, bringing with him a wealth of experience from a distinguished playing career across the English Football League and non-league game. His professionalism, knowledge and leadership qualities quickly made a positive impact within the dressing room and the wider club environment.

Following the departure of Liddle to Hartlepool United in early 2026, Jason stepped up to take on the role of Joint-Manager, working alongside Lee Bullock for the remainder of the campaign. Together, they guided the team through a challenging period, ensuring continuity and stability during the latter stages of the season.

Throughout his time at the Towbar Express Stadium, Jason demonstrated a strong commitment to the club’s values, earning the respect of players, staff and supporters alike. His transition from the pitch to the dugout reflected his passion for the game and his desire to contribute to the continued development of Whitby Town and he now departs on his own terms.

Everyone at Whitby Town would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Jason for his dedication, hard work and contribution during his time with the club. He leaves with our very best wishes for the next chapter in his career.

Further updates regarding the club’s management structure will be communicated to supporters in due course.
