Match Preview | Cleethorpes Town (H) | Saturday 25th April

Liam Ryder23 Apr - 17:00

Whitby Town face a crucial afternoon at the Towbar Express Stadium this Saturday.

This comes as they look to secure their Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division status against Cleethorpes Town (3pm kick-off).

The equation is simple for the Seasiders - avoid defeat and safety is assured. A loss, however, would leave matters out of their hands, dependent on Prescot Cables’ result against Bamber Bridge, a scenario Lee Bullock and Jason Kennedy will be eager to avoid.

Recent form has been challenging, with just three wins recorded in 2026. Last time out, Whitby were narrowly beaten 3-2 at Leek Town, despite taking a first-half lead through Lewis Hawkins.

Cleethorpes arrive in ninth place, with their league status already secured and no play-off ambitions remaining. The Owls head into the fixture on a three-game winless run following a 1-0 defeat to Hednesford Town.
