Match Preview | Leek Town (A) | Saturday 18th April

Liam Ryder17 Apr - 07:00

Whitby Town travel to the Midlands this weekend to take on Leek Town in the Pitching In Northern Premier League, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.

The Seasiders go into the fixture on the back of a draw against Hyde United last Saturday, a result that leaves them three points ahead of the relegation zone. An early strike from Jake Charles gave Whitby a positive start, before Tunde Owolabi levelled the scores in the first half.

Leek Town, meanwhile, come into the game having secured all three points in their previous outing, overcoming Prescot Cables at home thanks to a second-half goal from Louis Potts.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season saw Leek claim a convincing 3-0 victory. A standout effort from Callum Leigh, along with goals from Owolabi, then on Leek’s books, and Connor Heath, sealed the win for the Staffordshire side.
