The experienced midfielder joined the Seasiders in February 2025 from Scarborough Athletic and quickly became an important figure within the squad, scoring on his debut at Leek Town in a 2-1 win in February 2025.

Woods brought a wealth of experience to the club, having enjoyed a long and distinguished career in both the Football League and non-league game. A former youth player with Chelsea, he went on to represent clubs including Hartlepool United, York City and South Shields.

During his time at the Towbar Express Stadium, Woods made a positive impact both on and off the pitch. His leadership, professionalism and quality in midfield played a key role during his spell with the club, including contributing important goals and performances during the 2024/25 campaign and also during the early part of the current season.
