The 25-year-old has earned a place in Lee Bullock's squad after catching the eye throughout the club's summer preparations, showcasing his technical ability, work rate and composure in midfield.
Born in Doncaster, Gashi arrives at the Towbar Express Stadium with experience gained from playing both in England and Gibraltar. A central midfielder by trade, he is comfortable in possession, energetic out of it, and has demonstrated a strong desire to make an impact in a Whitby Town shirt.
Having trained with the squad throughout pre-season, Gashi quickly integrated into the group and impressed the coaching staff with his attitude and performances, leading to the decision to offer him terms ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking after completing the move, Gashi said: "I'm back in England now and Whitby ticks a lot of boxes for what I want to do.
"I was a bit younger when I last played at Step 3 but hopefully I'll have a big role to play for Whitby this season."
Everyone at Whitby Town would like to welcome Muhamet to the club and wish him every success in blue and white.
