Notice of 2026 Annual General Meeting

Notice of 2026 Annual General Meeting

Liam Ryder21 Jun - 15:00

Whitby Town would like to remind all members and supporters of the club's 2026 Annual General Meeting.

In accordance with the club constitution, the club's 2026 Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday 3rd July in Turnbull's Bar, commencing at 6:30pm.

This year's AGM is perhaps the most important meeting in the club's recent history. With the club's new structure now firmly in place, members will have the opportunity to review the progress made, hear updates from key officers, and help shape the next chapter of Whitby Town Football Club.

As the club continues to evolve both on and off the pitch, member engagement and participation are more important than ever. The AGM provides an opportunity for members to hear directly from club officials, review the club's financial position, and take part in the election process for key roles within the organisation.

The agenda for the meeting, as required under the club constitution, will be as follows:

  • Opening Welcome by the Chair
  • Apologies
  • One Minute Silence for those we have lost
  • Reading of the Minutes from the 2025 AGM by the Secretary
  • Matters Arising
  • Annual Report - Presented by the Chair
  • Presentation of Accounts - Finance Manager
  • Election of Officers
  • Review of New Structure and Associated Committees
  • Consideration of Any Motions Submitted by Members Prior to the AGM
  • Any Other Business

Members are respectfully reminded that the AGM agenda must be adhered to throughout the meeting and should not be allowed to become derailed. Any Other Business will be managed by the Chair, with pre-submitted questions to be sent secretary@whitbytownfc.com.

Prior to the close of the meeting, clarity will be provided regarding timescales and deadlines for anyone wishing to put their name forward for any of the key positions being offered for election.

As part of our constitutional obligations, supporters are also reminded of the minutes from the 2025 AGM. Printed copies will be available on the evening, and members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the contents ahead of the meeting.

The 2025 AGM minutes can be viewed here.

The Board of Directors looks forward to welcoming members on 3rd July and encourages as many people as possible to attend what promises to be a significant and important evening for the future direction of Whitby Town Football Club.
