"Warmth and friendliness shone through" was the impression of the Fan Experience Co's assessor, when he attended Whitby Town last season for a mystery shopper visit.
And this sums up Whitby Town in a nutshell. A family friendly club at the heart of its community. Whether it's our weekly Soccer Schools, local appearances of Scampi Skipper, our community initiatives inviting local children to games free of charge with paying adults or our work with Foodbank4Whitby, we want to ensure our local community is served to the best of our abilities.
In 2023/24, we launched a partnership with Andy's Man Club to launch the new Whitby group, which is held weekly at the Towbar Express Stadium, as well as launching our Under-18s team and education scholarship in conjunction with Middlesbrough College, ensuring a pathway to the Whitby Town first team for local talent.
The club came to national and international prominence in the 2023/24 season, facing Bristol Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper. With appearances on BBC Football Focus, Final Score and Match of the Day, along with coverage in newspapers and on radio, the club was at the forefront of the UK's football coverage. Internationally, the Bristol Rovers match was broadcast live, giving viewers worldwide a taste of Whitby Town.
Off the field, the club enjoyed success particularly on social media. Across its four main channels - X, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok - the club reached nearly 9 million people, making now the perfect time to get involved with a football club that continues to grow online and in its local community.
With our historic centenary approaching in 2026, the club is gearing up to grow more than ever before.
A partnership with Whitby Town is more than just advertising with the club, it's the potential to grow with a club that is going places and shaping a bright new future on and off the field.
With reach locally, nationally and internationally, Whitby Town proudly carry the name of our beautiful town wherever we go. The new season's kits will be the most iconic in the club's history, displaying our civic pride as a football club.
