The former Hull City defender, who joined the Seasiders in the summer of 2020, will link up with the Northern League outfit managed by Gary Forster.

The 25-year-old was a standout player under Nathan Haslam and Lee Bullock in the early part of the 2021/22 season before picking up an ACL injury which saw him out of action for over a year.

The centre-back spent the early part of the current campaign on loan in the Northern Premier League Division One East at Hebburn Town.

Ritson could make his Redcar Athletic debut a week on Saturday when the Steelmen host Crook Town at Green Lane.
