The central midfielder arrives at the Towbar Express Stadium with valuable experience across the Northern Premier League system and adds further quality to Lee Bullock's squad as preparations continue for the new campaign.

Kay began his senior career with Staveley Miners Welfare, where he established himself as a consistent performer over several seasons before earning a move to Tadcaster Albion.

Further spells followed with Cleethorpes Town and Bridlington Town, where he became a regular fixture after joining the East Yorkshire club in September 2024.

His performances in midfield played an important role as Bridlington successfully secured their Northern Premier League East Division status, with Kay demonstrating the work rate, composure and leadership qualities that have made him a highly regarded figure at this level.

Following spells with Stocksbridge Park Steels and Pontefract Collieries, Kay now makes the move to Whitby Town and becomes the latest addition to the Seasiders' squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
