This partnership will help to ensure that more children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can experience the excitement of live football at the Towbar Express Stadium.
As part of the partnership, Whitby Town will provide free match tickets to members of the SENDUre community throughout the season, creating more opportunities for children, young people and their families to enjoy live sport in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
The initiative reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its connection with the local community and removing barriers that can prevent young people from accessing sporting experiences.
Live sport has the power to inspire, bring people together and create lasting memories. By working alongside SENDUre, Whitby Town hopes to make matchdays more accessible and ensure that every young person has the opportunity to feel part of the football family.
SENDUre works to support children, young people and families within the SEND community, helping to create opportunities, build confidence and foster meaningful connections. Their work aligns closely with Whitby Town’s belief that football should be for everyone, regardless of background, ability or circumstance.
The partnership will allow SENDUre members to attend Pitching In Northern Premier League fixtures free of charge during the 2026/27 campaign, giving young people the chance to experience the atmosphere, excitement and sense of belonging that comes with attending live football matches.
A Whitby Town spokesperson said: "We are incredibly proud to be partnering with SENDUre for the upcoming season. Football has a unique ability to bring people together, and we want our club to be a place where everyone feels welcome.
"By offering free tickets to members of the SENDUre community, we hope to create opportunities for more children and young people to enjoy live sport, make memories and feel part of something special."
Sean Kirk, Director of SENDUre added: "We are delighted to be working with Whitby Town Football Club. Access to activities and experiences within the community can make a huge difference for children and young people with SEND and their families.
"This partnership will open doors for many of our members and provide opportunities to enjoy live football in a supportive and inclusive environment."
Further details regarding ticket availability and how SENDUre members can access matches will be shared directly through SENDUre's communication channels ahead of the new season.
Everyone at Whitby Town looks forward to welcoming SENDUre members and their families to the Towbar Express Stadium during the 2026/27 season.
