Whitby Town FC Turns Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness on 19th October

Paul Connolly24 Sep 2024 - 11:18

Whitby Town is set to 'Wear It Pink' this October - as they look to make a significant impact in the fight against Breast Cancer.

In a bold and vibrant show of solidarity, the Seasiders will don a one-off, all-pink kit - generously sponsored by Towbar Express - on Saturday, 19 October, in their Pitching In Northern Premier League match against Leek Town.

The Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground will be transformed into a sea of pink for the afternoon, creating a powerful visual statement as the club raises vital funds for Breast Cancer Now's 'Wear It Pink' campaign.

Various fundraising activities will be organised throughout the day, including donation stations around the stadium.

Following the match, the specially designed pink shirts will be auctioned off to the highest bidders, providing a unique opportunity for fans to own a piece of this special event while contributing directly to breast cancer research and support services.

The visitors on the afternoon - Leek Town - will also participate in the campaign by wearing pink armbands as a symbol of their support.

"Transforming the stadium into a pink beacon of hope is a testament to our commitment to supporting breast cancer research and showing solidarity with those affected by the disease," said Paul Connolly, at Whitby Town FC.

"We invite the community to join us for this special match, wear pink, and take part in our fundraising activities to help make a meaningful difference."
