The annual Onion Club event once again brought together members of the local community for an enjoyable occasion on Sunday while supporting a vital cause. Through the generosity of participants and supporters, a total of £500 was raised and donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service, helping the charity continue its life-saving work across the North of England.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service provides critical care to seriously ill and injured patients, often reaching those in remote or hard-to-access locations when every second counts. As a charity-funded service, donations from communities such as Whitby play an important role in helping it remain operational.
Whitby Town would like to thank everyone who took part in the 2026 Onion Club, as well as those who contributed through donations and support.
Congratulations to all involved in making this year’s Onion Club another successful event, and thank you for helping to raise valuable funds for an organisation that makes a real difference to so many lives.
