Helping to bring a little extra joy to children and families spending Christmas in hospital, the appeal aims to collect new gifts for children of all ages, from babies and toddlers to older children and teenagers, helping to make what can be a difficult time of year a little brighter for young patients and their families.
Gifts suitable for all age groups are welcome, with suggested items including toys, games, books, craft sets, toiletries, cosy clothing, pyjamas and stationery. The appeal is also keen to support parents, with donations such as snacks, hot drinks, toiletries and other small comforts helping families through their time in hospital.
As a community club, Whitby Town recognises how important it is to come together and support those who need it most. Christmas can be an especially challenging time for families with a child in hospital, and we hope that, with the help of our supporters, we can play a small part in making the festive season more positive for them.
A donation point is now available in Turnbull's Bar, and we would encourage supporters, visitors and everyone connected with the club to get involved where they can.
Whether it's a gift for a young child, something to brighten a teenager's day or a small treat for a parent, every donation can help make a difference.
We are delighted to support this fantastic initiative and would like to thank everyone who contributes to helping make Christmas a little brighter for the children and families on Rainbow Ward.
