Whitby Town sign Isaac Allan

Whitby Town sign Isaac Allan

Liam Ryder20 Jan - 14:30

Whitby Town are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Isaac Allan on a short-term loan from Sunderland.

The young stopper makes the temporary switch to the Towbar Express Stadium after spending time on loan at fellow Pitching In Northern Premier League side Morpeth Town earlier in the season.

He made a number of strong appearances while with the Highwaymen, picking up their Player of the Month Award for December.

The goalkeeper lifted the Under-17 Floodlit Cup whilst on the books at Lincoln City, prior to his move to the Academy of Light.

On the signing of Allan, manager Gary Liddle said: "I'm really pleased to be able to bring Isaac into the club and I thank Sunderland for their help in making the deal happen at such short notice.

"Isaac comes with great pedigree and he is highly thought of at Sunderland.

"He's already had a good taste of Northern Premier League football whilst on loan at Morpeth in the not so distant past so he comes with the experience needed to step straight into the team in Shane Bland's absence with injury.

"We're looking forward to working with Isaac."
