
A familiar name across the North East and North Yorkshire football scene, Ingram enjoyed a distinguished playing career spanning more than two decades. Beginning as a trainee at Hartlepool United, he went on to make over 200 first-team appearances for the club, establishing himself as a reliable and consistent performer in the Football League.
Following his time at Hartlepool, Ingram built an extensive non-league career, representing clubs including Scarborough FC, Northwich Victoria, Forest Green Rovers and FC Halifax Town. Known for his versatility, he operated primarily as a right-back and midfielder, combining defensive discipline with strong leadership qualities.
Supporters may also remember Ingram’s previous spell with Whitby Town during his playing days, further strengthening his connection to the club and the local football community.
Since transitioning into coaching, Ingram has continued to make a significant impact off the pitch. A UEFA B licence holder with a sport coaching degree, he has worked extensively in player development environments and held roles including player-assistant manager and first-team coach, as well as leading youth and scholarship programmes in the region. His experience in nurturing young talent and understanding of the non-league game will be a valuable asset to the club’s ongoing ambitions.
