Nathan Haslam is viewing Tuesday night's visit of Guiseley as "another opportunity to get three points" on the back of two straight away defeats at Worksop Town and Warrington Rylands.
The Seasiders host their Lions counterparts at the Towbar Express Stadium @ The Turnbull Ground (kick-off 7:45pm) aiming for a first win since New Year's Day, but Haslam is in good spirits following an improved showing at the Hive Arena against Rylands on Saturday.
Haslam believes Town can take encouragement from his but he is fully aware that Guiseley will pose a stern test for his charges in the first of three consecutive home matches.
The Town boss told whitbytownfc.com: "It's another opportunity for us and we're at home so hopefully we can take the game to Guiseley.
"We're coming up against another team who are up there in the table but I don't think it will particularly be about the quality on the night, it will be about who's prepared to work the hardest.
"I know my lads will compete and battle but we'll have to see how we can play best to the conditions but either way it's going to be a hard game.
"It gives us another opportunity to take points off a side in and around us, and it gives us the chance to climb back up towards those play-off spots."
