In-form Whitby Town were held to a 1-1 draw against another side who had been doing well lately in Ashton United who provided a strong second half showing to level the scores.
This result means that the Blues are now six unbeaten in the BetVictor Northern Premier after a run of five successive victories since the start of February.
But despite a bright start from the Seasiders they were unable to hold out for all three points but the side remained positive at full-time after their impressive recent run.
There were just 55 seconds on the clock when Bradley Fewster latched onto a ball over the top to calmly roll home beyond Gregory Hartley - the goalkeeper was impressive throughout the 90 minutes.
Hartley saved well from Adam Gell with 34 minutes played as he tipped a volley over the bar, before he then squandered Jordan Hickey who was played in on goal just before half-time.
Ashton had plenty of possession and looked likely to equalise and this came on 81 minutes when Billy Sass-Davies managed to put the ball over the line at the back post following a corner.
Town came back to try and find a winner but it was Hartley once again denying them. First Kieran Weledji found his effort saved before he then prevented Luke Bythway from scoring just a minute later.
Both sides had to settle for the point, but Whitby will be looking to return to winning ways on Tuesday night when Mickleover Sports visit the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground.
