Whitby Town were frustrated once again as they could only draw with Grantham Town at the Towbar Express Stadium at the Turnbull Ground on Tuesday night.

This result meant that the Blues are now four games without a victory since their momentous triumph over Lancaster City at the end of February.

However Town put in a strong second half showing despite not having a recognised striker on the pitch throughout the 90 minutes due to something of an injury crisis in that position.

Grantham took the lead on 31 minutes when a corner was played in from the left and headed home by Chris Robertson who looked relatively unchallenged when attacking the ball.

But the much improved second half dominance eventually told as Matthew Dixon played a low ball into the box from right which was eventually stabbed home by Adam Gell from close range on 65 minutes.

The Seasiders continued to press for another goal and Jake Hackett went extremely close from long range but Jon Worsnop parried his powerful effort away from goal.

Chris Hardy's side had to settle for a share of the spoils at full time and will next travel to Radcliffe on Saturday afternoon in the first of two away trips to the North West in the space of a week.
