Nathan Haslam's thoughts ahead of the Buildbase FA Trophy clash.
I was delighted with our 1-0 win in midweek. You can never grumble at getting a clean sheet - the lads were solid. It was a great way to follow up last Saturday’s win. It was good to get two wins on the bounce and we’re really happy with that as a group.
We’re a brilliant counter-attacking team. That’s our game. The ball from Priestley made the goal really and Fewst just had the job of putting it away. That’s what we’re all about and the only disappointing thing is the fact that we didn’t get more on the night.
Brad’s definitely getting there without a doubt. The team we’ve got demands working hard and I feel that he’s definitely picked that side of his game up in the last couple of games. His movement within the box is great and he’s probably the best finisher at the club. He’s doing what we want him to do and long may that continue.
This game is similar to the one we had in the last round at Shildon, coming up against a side doing well in the league below. They’re unbeaten away from home, they’re a footballing side and I think they’ll raise their game coming away to us - that’s what happens in the FA Trophy. It’s a one-off tie that’s got to be settled on the day. Naturally we’re a league higher, but I don’t think it counts for a lot on the day to be honest. We’ve got to be on our game and we’ve got to let our quality tell. If we don’t turn up, we could get turned over so we need to approach it like we have done in the last two games.
