Gibson-Booth is a young and versatile defender who joined Whitby Town ahead of the 2026/27 season. A product of York City's development pathway, he has steadily built his experience in senior football through a series of competitive opportunities across the Pitching In Northern Premier League and National League North.

Capable of playing in a variety of defensive positions, Gibson-Booth is recognised for his energy, determination and strong work ethic. Comfortable both on the ball and defensively, he combines athleticism with a willingness to contribute in all phases of play.

Prior to arriving at the Towbar Express Stadium, Leon gained valuable first-team experience with Scarborough Athletic and Cleethorpes Town. He also enjoyed a productive loan spell with Morpeth Town, where he adapted quickly to the demands of men's football.
