Biography
A hugely experienced figure at the Towbar Express Stadium, Woods penned a new deal with the Seasiders in May 2025. Since joining in February that year he has brought class and quality, netting two times last term. Woods joined Whitby Town from Scarborough Athletic.Born in York, Woods made his professional debut at the age of 16 for Chelsea before establishing himself in the first-team of Harrogate Town. Following positive spells at Hartlepool United and Dover Athletic, he completed a permanent move to National League side York City on a two-year deal.
After amassing a half-century of appearances for South Shields, winning the Northern Premier League title in 2023, Woods signed for Blyth Spartans.
In a struggling Blyth team at Croft Park, he would later go on to join Scarborough Athletic ahead of his move up the North Yorkshire Coast to Whitby.
