Biography
Gell is a mainstay of the Seasiders' midfield; a tireless player who likes to get stuck in for Town. His grit and determination in the middle of the park has made him a firm fan favourite at the Towbar Express Stadium.He is now in his fourth spell with the club since returning from Bishop Auckland in September 2024. On each and every spell with the Seasiders, he has been an impressive, regular performer.
In September 2017, Gell joined Northern League Division One side Shildon before returning a year later.
After returning to Whitby, his signature was in demand once again and he signed for Marske United at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.
But Gell was back again and he made his return official by featuring from the start against Nantwich Town in January 2023.
In his latest homecoming in 2024, Gell remained a key part of the Town squad under Gary Liddle, netting on his fourth debut in a 6-2 win over Hebburn Town.
