Biography
Smith made 15 Football League appearances before first joining Whitby Town on loan in 2016. He led Town away from he drop zone that year, and returned permanently in 2023/24 to help them qualify for the first round of the FA Cup.Right-back Smith agreed a new deal in May 2025 having made over 50 appearances for the Seasiders.
The full-back arrived permanently at the Towbar Express Stadium having spent a successful three year spell at Marske United, culminating in promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division in 2021/22 as his side won the play-offs.
Born on Stockton-on-Tees, Smith began his career at nearby Hartlepool United and made his first steps into senior football at Victoria Park where he played whilst manager Gary Liddle was thriving as a first team regular.
After becoming an established defender in York City's side, whom he had joined in 2017, he would go on to play for Frickley Athletic.
