Biography
Layton Watts is a creative and energetic attacking midfielder for Whitby Town, bringing flair, goals and exciting forward play to the Seasiders’ midfield. He made his Whitby debut in November 2024 after signing from West Auckland Town, and quickly established himself as an important creative force in the side.Comfortable in a number of attacking roles, Watts combines excellent movement, quick feet and an eye for goal, notably scoring a fantastic 96th‑minute penalty to earn three points away at Lancaster City and finding the net twice against Blyth Spartans in a thrilling Boxing Day win.
His energetic performances and ability to unlock defences with clever play have made him a favourite with the Seasiders’ supporters.
A versatile attacking talent, Layton’s goal threat, vision and all‑action style embody Whitby Town’s ambitions in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.
