A Middlesbrough‑born striker, Matthew re-joined Whitby Town for a fourth spell in December 2024, arriving from Bishop Auckland with extensive non‑league experience from spells at Redcar Athletic, Stockton Town, Marske United, Workington and West Auckland Town.

Since his return to the Towbar Express Stadium, Tymon made an immediate impact, contributing regularly on the scoresheet and playing a crucial role in Whitby’s campaign in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division, including a standout performance where he scored a brace in a 4‑0 win against Warrington Town.

Known for his intelligent movement, clinical finishing and physical presence, Matty combines veteran savvy with a tireless work rate. Fully embraced by teammates and supporters alike, he continues to be a driving force in the Seasiders’ side.
